Exploring Game Development From 1950s to Now
The domain was finally registered a couple days ago and I have already gotten over 15 emails about “helping my business”. I replied to a couple asking what site they wanted to work on and what business they wanted to help me with.
No replies.
They are really quick on the draw, damn. It would be funny if I wasn’t already sifting through so much garbage. Anyways, more important business is at hand! The site is actually live and the project has actually launched. For those that are new or just hadn’t learned a whole lot about this whole thing, BnB has been a long time coming project that I have been planning for god knows how long.
The goal was to look at the evolution and history of games and gaming starting from way back in the 1950s up until current day items. But to do more than just look at the games themselves. The intention was to delve into who made them, the people, the teams, their motivations, their efforts and their place in the world (and where it may still be now). The hardware they were played on and what place in history the platform had and yes the game(s) themselves too.
For those less interested in a history lesson there is also the stream each session of the game or games that are featured, to show off some game play of the title and to allow for fun or less than fun commentary. A lot of these do end up leading to so bad they are good territory so it isn’t always painful. Speaking of! The first session will begin centered around some very cool and very unique SEGA technology and games. It felt fitting as the Master System (and SG-1000) and the TG-16 were where I started my gaming voyage.
We will be taking a look at the Sega Card/My Card and a couple titles; Gulkave and StarJacker. With a little bit of a bonus playing Ghost House, just because.
